Built as a residential subdivision, there are no commercial amenities to be found within the neighbourhood boundaries of Silverspring. However, it is conveniently bordered by Central Avenue to the west and Attridge Drive to the south, both of which quickly connect residents to fantastic amenity-rich areas nearby. These include the University Heights Shopping Centre and Preston Crossing Shopping Centre, both of which offer all the essentials—shopping, dining, medical offices, and more. It is also just a stone’s throw away from Circle Drive, which means you can get just about anywhere in the city in a moment’s time.

In terms of lifestyle and leisure amenities, Silverspring has 2 schools in the neighbourhood—École Silverspring School, a public elementary school, and École St. Mother Teresa School, a Catholic elementary school.
